A consistent program. With a strong strategic perspective, content support, on-the-ground project management and robust impact measurement.
A German engineered goods manufacturer with roughly €300M sales, manufacturing sites on three continents and own, fully fledged sales organizations in 15 countries (see also the detailed case example in: “Sustainable partnership”)
The company had defined an aspirational strategy to double its sales in the five years to come.
This meant a growth target at double the market rate, while the company had historically grown in line with market average. Target countries, industries and customer segments in focus of the strategy had been defined as well.
Now the management team needed to detail a robust strategic action plan for breakout growth.
As part of the strategic action plan, LWC and the client team, together, defined 18 priority initiatives. A dedicated project manager from within the company was appointed to lead each initiative.
These project managers were instrumental in driving the implementation: first, defining milestones and work plans for the coming four quarters and then the four subsequent full years.
In addition, the project team defined impact and performance indicators to create real transparency on progress made in implementing the strategy successfully. LWC supported both the management team and individual project managers in a sustainable partnership until all strategic targets were reached.
